ADOPT A WHALE
You can support our research and conservation efforts by adopting a sperm whale for a year, or giving the adoption as a present. In the whale adoption package (that is sent by regular mail to you or the person you give the present to) you will get the adoption certificate with the description of your whale, his photo and an ''I support whale research'' bracelet. In the end of the year we'll send you an update about the sightings of your whale through the year. You can adopt a whale with a donation of 300 NOK (approx. 35 euros), that is transfered to: ACCOUNT INFO: Marine Research and Education Fund of Andenes Hamnegata 1 C 8480 Andenes, Norway IBAN: NO90 4570 1613 507 BANK INFO: SpareBank 1 Nord-Norge Boks 172 8483 Andenes, Norway BIC/SWIFT: SNOWNO22 Send us an email to [email protected] with your contact details and any questions about the adoptions, and the name of the whale you'd like to adopt. The whales available for adoption at the moment are: 1- ''Helge'', recogniseable by two white patches on the left part of the fluke, 2 and 3 - ''Glenn'', the whale who was first seen here 20 years ago, and is still visiting the feeding grounds off Andenes, and 4- ''Johhny Handsome'', who has a beautiful pattern on the fluke and has been around a lot this year. He also does a very high fluke-up when he starts diving to get that fish and squid! |
NAME A WHALE
You can give a name to one of the sperm whales we have in the catalogue that don't have a name yet for a donation of 990 NOK. The whale will keep this name in our catalogue permanently and when it is sighted he will be called by the name you have given to him! You or the person you give it as a present to will get a special certificate with the given name, the details about the named sperm whale, a USB stick with his photos from the field season 2014, two ''I support whale research'' bracelets and two sperm whale stickers. Whales available for adoption!
